INSPIRATION
From striking cloakrooms and en-suites to complete bathrooms, we pride ourselves on helping our customers achieve beautiful rooms. Here is the start of the journey to your new Thomas Crapper bathroom.
CLOAKROOMS
Your cloakroom is often a room to showcase your style and personality. Commonly small spaces, the cloakroom requires innovative design. We have a wide range of products, perfectly designed for your cloakroom, including compact basins, wall mounted brassware, space-saving heated towel rails and a superb choice of accessories.
ICONIC 814 CISTERN
Our iconic 814 cistern is based on an original Victorian cast iron cistern, from which we created the tooling allowing us to cast them in marine aluminium alloy. Marine aluminium alloy resists corrosion and gives a longer lasting, smoother finish. The 814 cast in the body of the cistern refers back to the original catalogue number.
Authentic to the original design, we use traditional cap and back nuts to fit the flush-pipe to the brass tailed syphon fitting. With the benefit of environmental advances all our cisterns flush with a water saving dual flush requirement of 4 or 6 litres.
The 814 cistern is available as high-level or low-level (beer pull) version in traditional colours; White, ‘Crapper’ Red, British Racing Green and Matt Black, with Royal Blue being launched later in 2021.
INDUSTRIAL STYLE CLOAKROOMS
Bathrooms are usually spaces that offer a clean, crisp design aesthetic, with many rooms aiming for minimalistic hotel room chic. Introducing an industrial theme to your cloakroom will therefore require a different mindset.
Here at Thomas Crapper we have a number of products, which lend themselves to industrial bathrooms design; we have ‘live’ unlacquered polished brass taps, which acquire a beautiful patina over time, should you so choose.
Our 814 cast cisterns are available in a matt, structured black finish or hand-polished aluminium to add a striking focal point to an industrial design scheme.
SMALL CLOAKROOMS
From the authentic styling of the petite Marlborough cloakroom basin or the choices offered by our fireclay cloakroom basins, such as the Harwood, we have many beautiful options for the hand wash basin in your cloakroom.
If the toilet is beneath a window then you may find our close-coupled Viceroy toilet set useful as the height required is lower than a high or low-level toilet set.
We also offer a Traditionally styled back-to-wall toilet, which offers a practical and good-looking option for small cloakrooms.
TRADITIONAL BATHROOM SUITES
Whether you live in a period home or not a traditional style bathroom suite can add charm and interest that can be re-created even in a modern home. Traditional style bathrooms are generally defined by geometric tile patterns in simple colours, patterned floors combined with classic fittings and timeless sanitaryware.
Thomas Crapper products are largely reproductions of original Victorian toilets and basins, if you are therefore looking for a traditional style bathroom suite, we can offer the most authentic, British made bathroom products.
CLASSIC BATHROOM SUITE DESIGNS
For a timeless look, why not choose a classic design for your bathroom? These traditional and classic styles are truly elegant and can suit large or small spaces.
A statement piece in the room helps to set the scene, this might be a striking freestanding bath, piece of furniture or a large, striking mirror.
The main elements of a bathroom, such as the toilet, bath and basin are generally white leaving you space to experiment with colours and textures in the rest of the room. Classic bathroom design materials include stone, tiles and wood, these materials help to create a sense of luxury and timeless elegance.
MARBLE BATHROOMS
The practical, timeless chic of marble has proved a popular choice in bathrooms since before Roman times. You may choose marble wall covering, whether real marble or reproduction tiles or wall panels. You can also a marble washstand to create a focal point in your bathroom.
Thomas Crapper have a choice of single or double marble washstands that can be combined with our undermounted basins and a choice of taps.
TRADITIONAL SHOWER SPACES
Traditional shower areas are generally defined by exposed pipework and simple, brick effect tiling. Traditional shower valves are usually exposed, meaning the valve and pipework are on the outside of the bathroom wall, creating a decorative, authentic effect. You may also choose the option of a concealed shower valve, combined with a wall or ceiling mounted shower head, available in a variety of sizes.
At Thomas Crapper we have traditional different styles of shower valves available in Chrome and Nickel plate or Polished Brass.
