A 'Crapper' in stained glass!

The Millenium Window at St. Laurence's church, Hatfield, Nr. Doncaster, West Riding of Yorkshire. The window features a small tribute to Mr. Crapper, who was born in nearby Thorne.




The panel in the centre of the window, at the bottom. Just above the head of the male figure there is a black silouette of a loo pan in tribute to Thomas Crapper. Although the image is small and discreet, a great fuss was made in the national newspapers over this.
